For economic and environmental reasons there is no better
alternative than a motorised bike (Moped). Whether you're commuting,
visiting friends and family or just cruising, there are many benefits
to owning and riding a Moped. With an electric or petrol powered
Moped you are free to travel anywhere a bike can with minimum effort.
Victorian traffic regulations allow bikes to be power assisted up
to 200 watts without the requirement of a licence or registration.
(The normal road rules for a bike relating to helmets, brakes,bell,
front and rear lights still apply). These freedom machines can be
ridden by any age on designated roads and bike paths.
City Mopeds offers a 12 month warranty on all of our model range
with in-house servicing and maintenance. We are conveniently located
at Triple S Motors (56-58 Clarendon Street, Southbank) which is just
5 minutes from Melbourne's CBD and directly opposite Crown's third
hotel tower, The Metropol.
City Mopeds is a division of Triple S Motors which is a European
Car Service Centre specialising in SAAB, Audi, Subaru and VW. Triple S
Motors has operated in the South Melbourne area since 1987 and is a
VACC member.
The benefits of riding a power assisted bicycle, "Moped",
are numerous:
Economic Benefits - These are considerable with the
electricity or fuel costs of running a Moped being only a fraction of
those of running a motor vehicle or using public transport. If you
also own a car you will substantially reduce the associated fuel,
mileage, servicing and insurance costs of that vehicle.
Environmental Benefits - You will be cutting down on the
amount of CO2 that would normally be added to the atmosphere if you
were commuting to work by car or public transport every day.
Health Benefits - Apart from the fresh air and breeze in
your face as you ride, you can pedal if you want to (and most people
do) so you'll be getting fit without even realising it!

during your daily commute while you confront considerably less

less parking costs and hassles. You are legally allowed to ride a
Moped in bike lanes in Victoria and of course like scooters and

bike gear or shower on arrival. You will get to your work refreshed

BIKE DETAILS:
City Mopeds carry a full range of premium electric and petrol
powered Mopeds. (We also have access to specialist inquiries like
folding bikes, three wheelers and delivery vehicles).
Our electric models are the "Power Ped" brand and will
give you up to a 50k range on one battery charge at an average speed
of 30kph. The development of lithium batteries means a much lighter
weight Moped with up to 1000 charges from the battery. They have 7
speed Shimano Revo-Shiftgears with pedal assist and throttle control.
The wheels have double wall rims, front suspension and a brushless
geared 200 watt motor.
Our petrol models are the "Rotary" brand and will give
you up to an 80k range on a 1.5 litre tank of fuel at average speed
of 30kph. They have 6 speed (rear) and 3 speed (front) Shimano
Revo-Shiftgears with throttle control accelerator.
There you have it, for less than an average of $1 a day you can
travel to work, socialise or just go cruising on a safe, economical
and fun Moped.
